Technology

The Johnson County Schools Technology Department serves the entire district, encompassing the Central Office, High School, Middle School, CTE, ESC and five elementary schools. We manage over 3,400 network based devices and ensure that our staff and students have access to appropriate infrastructure and networking in all facilities. Each classroom and office area is covered by our district-wide wireless umbrella, providing a compressive connectivity solution for all mobile devices.

Technology for student use is provided at each location, consisting of Computer Labs, Laptops, Chromebooks or iPad carts. Our classrooms are equipped with interactive touch screen TV’s or SMART Technologies Interactive Boards and a projector.

Our Technology Department is currently staffed with a Technology Coordinator and one technician. We share a combined fifty plus years of IT experience with a wide array of experience and certifications. Our duties range from hardware and software maintenance and support, network infrastructure installation, network management and security, wiring, and many other technological aspects in the day to day operational needs of Johnson County Schools.

Submitting a Technology Work Order Request

If you are experiencing a technological issue, you will need to submit an online work order request for the quickest response. Please complete the following Work Order Request Form. This is the quickest and most effective way to get your problem solved. Remember to provide us with a detailed description of your issue, and include the BLUE ASSET TAG number for us to reference. This allows us to bring the proper tools and materials we’ll need to effectively correct your situation.

If you have multiple problems, please create a ticket for each issue. If you cannot log in to your computer to submit a work order request, please use a student computer or another teacher computer and submit your request from that machine.
